
Paul McCue, 87, of Dallas, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Houston, Texas.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John and Maude Monahan McCue and was a graduate of Coughlin High School.
Paul was a perfect gentleman. A kind and gentle soul, his family was the most important thing in his life. He was a loving and patient husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born on the 4th of July, and for 40 years he enjoyed hosting a family reunion birthday celebration.
Paul was the owner and operator of Dallas Auto parts for many years before his retirement. He was heavily involved in his community. He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, and was a lector for some years. He was a member of George M. Dallas Masonic Lodge #531 F&AM, Irem Shrine and the Sheppard’s unit of the shrine and Dallas Lions Club.
Paul was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Grace Apolinaro McCue; brothers, Jack McCue and Donald McCue; brothers-in-law, Paul Kane, Michael Dunleavy, William Cutter and Harry Dombroski; and sisters-in-law, Katherine McCue and Mary Edna Apolinaro.
Surviving are daughters, Dianne Brown and her husband, Norm, Wake Forrest, N.C.; Susan McGroarty and her husband, Michael, Pottstown; Beth Hermes and her husband, David, Houston, Texas; son, Paul McCue and his wife, Cheri, Dallas; grandchildren, Rachael (Jason) Hayes, Lisa (Brett) Mazzerle, Paul T. (Jill) McCue, Erich (Casey) Mahle, Cara (Matt) Hartman, Kyle (Kacey) Mahle, Katie McGroarty, Jacquelyn (Wes) Bailey, Michael (Erin) Hermes, Josh (Amanda) Hermes, Amy (David) Meaney, Kaysie (King) Bolton, Brittney (Jim) Massey and Drew Brown; brother, Gerald (Patty) McCue; sisters, Rita Cutter, Connie Dombroski, Dolores Dunleavy, Ann Marie Gavigan and Sara Kane; brothers-in-law, James and Carl Apolinaro; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
